Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Jymo (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles personal information when you use our websites, apps, and store dashboards (together, the “Platform”). Jymo operates as a multi-tenant grocery marketplace and store software platform. Partner stores fulfil many orders; we and those stores may each process data as described below.
1. Who we are
Jymo provides technology that connects shoppers with neighbourhood partner grocery stores and helps store owners manage catalog, inventory, and orders.
Controller / operator identity (registered legal entity name, CIN, registered address, and grievance officer) will be published here when finalised. Until then, treat “Jymo” as the brand operating the Platform. For privacy questions, use Help & Support in your account or the support email / phone published in platform settings once configured.
2. Scope
This policy covers customers shopping on Jymo, visitors browsing public pages, and merchants or staff using dashboards. It applies to web and any Jymo mobile apps that link to this policy.
It does not cover websites or apps of third parties (payment gateways, maps, SMS providers, or a store’s own offline sales channels) except insofar as we pass data to them to run the Platform.
3. Information we collect
Account and profile data such as name, phone number, email address, and authentication identifiers.
Delivery and location-related data such as saved addresses, city/area, and coarse location or pin used to find nearby stores and estimate delivery.
Order and transaction data such as cart contents, store selected, order status history, payment method type, and payment references from gateways. We do not store full card PAN on our servers when payments are handled by a payment provider.
Device and usage data such as browser or app type, IP address, session cookies, crash or diagnostic logs, and approximate interaction events needed to secure and improve the service.
Merchant and staff data such as store profile, contact details for the store, staff roles, and operational records needed to run the store dashboard.
Support communications you send through Help & Support or (when available) a contact form.
4. How we use information
To create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and show the right store catalog for your area.
To place, fulfil, and track orders; communicate status; and enable customer support.
To process payments via third-party gateways and reconcile COD or prepaid flows as configured by stores.
To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce our terms; and comply with law.
To operate merchant tools (catalog, inventory, orders) and improve Platform reliability and features.
To send transactional messages (order updates, OTPs). Marketing messages are sent only where permitted and with applicable consent or opt-out options.
For analytics in aggregated or de-identified form where practicable.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including order history for dispute resolution, accounting, and legal retention requirements. Support tickets and inquiry records may be retained for a reasonable period after closure. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it where feasible.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and session-based authentication. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please protect your login credentials and device.
8. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable Indian law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as it applies), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold, or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, by contacting us through Help & Support.
We will respond within a reasonable period and as required by law. Some data must be retained for legal, security, or transactional integrity (for example completed order records).
You can update addresses and profile details in your account. You can request account closure subject to open orders and legal holds.
9. Children
The Platform is intended for users who can form a binding contract under Indian law (generally 18 years or older). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children for shopping accounts. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us so we can delete it where appropriate.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Platform after updates means you acknowledge the revised policy. Material changes may be highlighted in-product where practical.
This page is a product policy template for the Jymo platform. Registered company name, address, CIN, grievance officer, and governing court details will be updated when finalised. It is not a substitute for formal legal advice.
