Merchant Terms
Last updated: 29 July 2026
These Merchant Terms apply when you create or operate a store on Jymo (“you”, “Merchant”, or “Store”). They supplement the customer-facing Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By creating a store or accepting orders through the Platform, you agree to these Merchant Terms.
1. Eligibility and account
You must be authorised to operate the grocery or retail business you list, provide accurate business and contact details, and keep staff access under your control.
You are responsible for all actions taken by staff accounts linked to your store.
2. Catalog, pricing, and stock
You must list products you are legally allowed to sell. Keep titles, pack sizes, images, and descriptions reasonably accurate.
Sell at or below the printed MRP where the Legal Metrology / MRP rules apply. Do not knowingly list prices above MRP.
Keep inventory and availability honest. Repeated sale of unavailable items harms customers and may lead to suspension.
3. Order fulfilment
Accept, pack, and deliver (or prepare for pickup) within the windows and service areas you configure. Communicate delays proactively via order status where possible.
Handle wrong, missing, or damaged items in line with Jymo’s Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable consumer law. Process cancellations and refunds in good faith when required.
4. Fees and “free to start”
Jymo currently allows you to create a store and begin without a subscription fee (“free to start”). Pricing may evolve; we will communicate material changes clearly in advance where reasonably possible.
Payment gateway fees, SMS costs, or logistics costs charged by third parties remain your or the customer’s responsibility as disclosed in product checkout or your agreements with those providers.
5. Compliance
You are responsible for licences and registrations that apply to your business (for example FSSAI for food businesses, GST registration where required, local trade licences).
Do not list prohibited, illegal, or counterfeit goods. Comply with packaging, labelling, and age-restricted sales rules that apply to your assortment.
6. Customer data
You receive customer name, contact, address, and order details solely to fulfil and support that order. Do not sell customer personal data or use it for unrelated spam.
Protect access to the dashboard. Notify Jymo if you suspect unauthorised access to staff accounts.
7. Suspension and termination
Jymo may suspend or remove a store for fraud, chronic stock falsehoods, policy breaches, illegal listings, or behaviour that endangers customers or Platform integrity.
You may stop taking online orders by deactivating your store subject to completing open orders.
8. Relationship to customers
Unless Jymo expressly sells as principal, the sale contract for goods is between you and the customer. Jymo provides the Platform. Customer terms, delivery, and refund policies govern the shopping experience.
9. Liability
You remain responsible for product quality, food safety practices, and delivery performance. Jymo is not liable for Merchant negligence except to the extent required by law for Platform defects we control.
10. Onboarding and contact
Start at Sell on Jymo or create an account via Get Started. Operational and policy questions can be raised through staff support channels once your account exists. A public contact intake for merchant leads is planned.
This page is a product policy template for the Jymo platform. Registered company name, address, CIN, grievance officer, and governing court details will be updated when finalised. It is not a substitute for formal legal advice.
